What I learned from Pat O’Bryan’s Unseminar8 – Austin, TX

I’ve been in Pat O’Bryan’s Portable Empire Coaching group for exactly one year now. Last year I attended two of Pat’s “Unseminars” – Unseminar6 – May, 2009, and Unseminar7 – October, 2009. Even though these were “Internet Marketing” seminars, I was still focusing on my studies in graduate school and filming my soy candle DVD. By October, 2009, I barely had a copy of my DVD in hand, and I still didn’t have a website up Online.

Well, I’ve come a long way since last October. I did get my soy candle DVD up – at http://www.SoyCandleU.com and have been selling the DVD successfully ever since. I’ve recorded a prosperity affirmation audio with my good friend Claus D. Jensen from Denmark – http://www.EverydayProsperityAffirmations.com. I’ve even put my soy candles & jewelry Online for the first time at http://www.Un8Store.com.

So, what have I learned in the past year?? Plenty – I can tell you that! I learned how to market myself Online, by writing sales pages for my products, sending out e-mails to my list, building a list, networking with others, working on joint-ventures with others, all sorts of social media – Twitter, Facebook, groups, fan pages, member networks, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. The main thing that I learned was to believe in myself, and believe in the quality of my products. I don’t think I could really find internet marketing challenging & fun, if I didn’t believe in myself.

So, Pat O’Bryan – due to popular demand, held another Unseminar – Unseminar8 in Austin, TX on June 18-20, with a social gathering in Wimberly on Monday, June 20th. I brought Un8 pendants, jewelry, key-chains, tote bags (that I sewed myself!), along with my jewelry & soy candles. I also met a whole bunch of friends from Pat’s Portable Coaching program, plus a bunch of new people that I was happy to meet.

There were great speakers like Dr. Joe Vitale, Pat O’Bryan, Bill Hibbler, Warren Whitlock, Connie Green, Mindy Audlin, Wendi Friesen, Tony Laidig, among others. They talked about everything from the “law of attraction” to publishing a book, to creating products from the Public Domain, and even meditation. So, what did I learn? The most important thing that was “reconfirmed” to me, was to love myself, believe in myself and to truly believe that I am successful. None of these programs, speakers, books, DVD’s, cd’s, and anything else people were selling won’t make a difference, if I don’t believe in myself first. Healthly self-esteem and a prosperity mindset can change the world. It can definitely change my life for the better.

So, I think I’ll keep playing my “Everyday Prosperity Affirmations” audio, reading my self-help & new age books. I’ll continue to meditate each day and visualize my dream life, and continue to take action. Life’s too short to not use our skills & talents and create the life that we want.
